There was a calling for photographs of Sarasota and Sue submitted a couple. Sue is pleased to announce that one of my photos was selected for the cover of Sarasota's Senior Services Directory 2013.
The photograph selected was of the Sarasota Ringling Bridge taken at sunset from the side of the bridge. It was a different angle than most people take of this highly photographed causeway.

The owners of Nada Cigars asked photographer Sue Karski to create an unique photographic look for their advertisements. The technique of Light Painting was used to create a special look for highlighting their cigars. Sue uses this technique because she can light the subject from multiple angles and highlight a single subject or multiple subjects without lighting everything which makes it look flat.

This contest was open only to amateur photographers. Sue Karski's "A Chapel in the Valley" HDR photo of Cook's Meadow in Yosemite Valley, California was awarded third place. Sue did not enter the topaz enhanced version but the HDR version of this photograph. This photo was taken on a photo tour with James Corwin Johnson. Sue had fractured her elbow right after she arrived in Yosemite, but continued with the photo tour. The effort to setup a tripod and get just the right angle was made more difficult with her arm in a sling.
